JL Johnson is Senior Vice President of Healthcare Investments within Anchor Retail’s Columbus office. JL is a 20-plus year seasoned national advisor in the Commercial Real Estate vertical. JL’s vast experience has been in Acquisitions and Dispositions, Land Development, Leasing, Corporate Services and Relationship Management. JL has worked with Large Health Systems, Healthcare REIT’s and Private Equity groups across the continental United States.
Prior to joining Anchor, JL began his career with Morgan Stanley in NYC as a Sr. REIT analyst. He then transitioned to a role as SVP of Healthcare Real Estate with National City Bank (Currently PNC Bank). From there, he took on a role as VP of Healthcare and Office brokerage and development with Equity. In 2020 JL moved over to Lee & Associates as Senior Vice President working exclusively in the Healthcare and Life Sciences space. At Lee & Associates he also served as Vice President and board-member of CompassionateLee, Lee & Associates non-profit philanthropic endeavor.
JL is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Economics and Finance. Having gained a great knowledge base through his education and experience, JL currently has involvement as a landlord, board member, business owner and investor.
JL spends his time both in Ohio and Florida. JL has worked with many non-profits both as a board member and as a donor. JL has a passion for supporting causes with military veterans, cancer research and children protection and advocacy. JL and his wife Jillian have three wonderful kids and are active in their New Albany, Ohio community.
